Boden Silver Pointed Slingbacks Review

Pointed Slingbacks £69 THERE IS 20% off here

I must say I love them, they will be my perfect evening holiday shoes. Stylish and safe for pushing the pram  ( I am known to fall over for no apparent reason, not even with a glass of vino inside of me - man down they shout ) and running after a 4 year old. They are a colour that will go with most things and will be versatile as I am going to try and prove .....

Now the dress up I had to make more simple than I planned, with two little ones photo bombing my selfies I had too ( constantly walking past the mirror with toy snakes around their necks, was one example) so I kept the same top on in all 3 outfits.

Outfit 1 - With Boyfriend Jeans

T-Shirt, J Crew / Jeans, Zara

Outfit 2 - Work with Black Capri Pants

Pants, Gap / Belt, Hermes

Outfit 3 - Summer Holiday Look with a Lace Skirt

Skirt, Topshop 2012 / Boden Pointed Slingbacks £69

I think they are the perfect summer shoe, I know some of you have problems with slingbacks I am quite lucky and they stay on my ankles, well these do anyway. The pointed front elongates the leg and they are more dressy for evening wear than a normal ballet pump would be.

As ever thanks for reading and I will speak to you again before the Weekend.

    1. Thank you yes I lived in high heels before the children and now most if not all shoes I buy are flat! Yes, I like them with the jeans the best, they really went well with my boyfriends, silver looks great with pale denim. Ohh the belt....... a naughty purchase in Nice airport a few years back.... I was delayed so a girl has to have a shop, doesn't she. x

  4. Love your blog Annemarie - its a new find for me!

These look great, silver is a great colour and it seems to goes with everything. There is a cute sling back pair at Massimo Dutti at the moment and I've spotted a metallic pink pair at Banana Republic that I've got my eye on as well. I am a bit shoe obsessed!

    1. Ah thank you for reading and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!

Thank you, I am liking the sound of the metallic pink ones from Banana Republic, last year Boden did these same shoes in Rose metallic and I never purchased, my big regret ..... so thank you for the tip and I am off to check them out xx

  5. They are gorgeous, and perfect holiday shoes as they will work for both day and night. I don't think I have any silver shoes at all, seriously lacking now after seeing these!

    1. Yes that is what I am liking the day to night bit, the amount of stuff you need to pack for the little ones, I have to be sensible and pack less, not the 14 outfits and matching shoes I use to do back in the day!!!

    1. Thank you and thank you for the compliment regarding my hair. The secret is a good cut, I sort of rough dry it, blow dry the front and then tong it with some fab curling tongs I got years ago from a professional hairdresser supplier - you can still get them online BabyBliss Pro Ceramic dial a heat Tong. The ones I have are the thickest they do, could be 25mm???

  10. Gorgeous!! I find them a bit too tight across the front of my foot - at least last year's were. Hoping to try on this season's version at a Boden party I'm attending later in March (I'm not hosting this season!). Loving all the outfits you've created...they look great with all three. x

  11. I do love the shoes but I don't think they would actually suit my fat feet. Whilst on my current shoe bender, I did actually order a pair of low pointy silver shoes and had to return them as I was slipping out of them and didn't flatter me at all. I'm not re-ordering though - the p&p is too expensive.

Love all your different looks with the shoes - I am in love particularly with the green lace skirt though. That is yum!

    1. Fat feet, I doubt you have fat feet Sue. Wow wee you did have a shoe bender didn't you, silver ones as well. The Topshop skirt is about 2 years old I put last year but on reflection it was 2012, I only wear it on holiday...... It's one of them I love it but it's so bright and different from what I normally wear. X

  12. so good to know I'm not the only person who falls over so easily. Husband jokes that if there is a hair on the floor i will trip over it. loving the silver sling backs, have a holiday to Dubai in october and think they will fit the bill as holiday wear.. bit of recent convert to Boden as i used to find them just a bit to boring but seemed to have upped their game. brought a gorgeous fitted dress a couple of months ago, pencil style with a lovely neck line so now just waiting for the better weather to wear it. x

    1. Oh I am terrible, love that you would fall over a hair...... funny. I would really recommend them and they would be fabulous in Dubai. Boden have some really great stuff, I just avoid their loud patterns that shout I am Boden but there are really some gems in their collection.

  13. oooo What wonderful shoes!!! Love the colour (I have a magpie chromosone I think, and just love sparkle) and love the shape. Pointy shoes without a heel look a tad different and really stand out (in a nice way, of course!)
Love the way you have styles them - My favourite is outfit 1. Really nice!
