The Navy Blazer
T-Shirt, Boden available here £14 / Jeans, Zara / Shoes, Bloch
Last weekend N had two parties to attend and this is what I wore to the one on Saturday, a lovely spring day but quite crisp so I needed a jacket and scarf. The navy blazer is an old one from Zara, it is short, nipped in waist with bracelet length sleeves but I am not entirely happy with the fit plus it's had its day slightly.
I much prefer the more blazer style of the ones below.........
I do want a navy blazer as I think navy is more versatile than black ( plus I have my black jigsaw one that I am happy with )
But I had to include this fab image of Emmanuelle Alt in a black blazer - Great Outfit!
So what navy jackets have caught my eye.......
1. BODEN CHIC WOOL BLAZER £104.20 / 2. JIGSAW luxe BOYFRIEND JACKET £179 / 3.JOSEPH SUPER 100 HUTCH BLAZER £395 / 4. REISS SAMUEL BLAZER £225 / 5. STELLA MCCARTNEY IRIS WOOL BLAZER £735 6. J.CREW SCHOOLBOY BLAZER £198
I did have the J.Crew one earmarked but looking at the pictures on Net-a-Porter I think that may be too short like my Zara one ........ best hope I win the lotto for the Stella! However, the Boden one is looking appealing in the mid season sale.......
As ever thanks for reading and your comments,
Annmarie xx

My Midlife Fashion
A Couple ....... you lucky thing. I am hoping to get to Spain at the end of April for a cheeky weekend away, so I may wait and check out Dutti they always have good blazers .
DeleteWhere would we be without a navy and black jacket in our wardrobes? Great picks as always x
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharron, just the classics I am trying to build on and improve in my collection. x
DeleteI do not own a navy blazer - I should rectify this! I LOVE the stripes/red pumps look
ReplyDeleteOh it is so useful ..... try some on. Thank you, I am loving my Red pumps too! xx
DeleteI haven't worn my navy blazer for ages, going to wear mine this week now! Love how you've styled it with a Breton! my favourite look!
ReplyDeleteAbbi x
Thanks Abbi x
Deletethis was my exact outfit for the school run yesterday. Boden Breton, jeans, navy jacket and red ballet pumps, normally would add a scarf but it was lovely weather yesterday to left it at home.I would be lost without a choice of jackets to wear. Looks lovely on you. x
ReplyDeleteI funny we were outfit twins without knowing it! xx
DeleteI really like your style, mine is quite similar so your blog is great for outfit ideas for me! I found some great red leather and suede ballets pumps from m&s, really reasonable too. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAahh thank you! Glad you find some inspiration from my blog. I think the shoes you got I picked them in my Red ballet shoe picks, I am loving my Red ones too they just give the Breton and jeans outfit a little pop. x
DeleteYou're right those were the ones. The cheaper m&s don't come in half sizes so although cute were no good for me. Very happy with the ones I got!
DeleteAhhh love the bloch shoes - perfect with your outfit...and Emmanuelle - well not much to say except she NEVER gets it wrong!
ReplyDeleteTrust you Joanna to notice the shoes.....! Yes, Love Emmanuelle!!! xx
DeleteHello, have you seen the Whistles Lena jacket in navy. It's looks like it might be a bit short but is a reasonable price especially given John Lewis are doing 20% off today.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip I have just had a look as you know I love Whistles, it is Jersey is that the one? I am after a wool one really... However the Campbell jacket is nice but I think that's in black...... Anyway thank you for your tip and comment. Xx
DeleteNo problem Anne Marie, just tried it on and I didn't like the jersey at all. Keeping my eye out for another though....
ReplyDeleteI have a grey jersey one and I must admit it doesn't sit well - I am hopefully going to Spain with work in April and I will go to Massimo Dutti they normally have great blazers and are normally a better quality to their big sister Zara.......I will keep you all updated. xx
DeleteLoving the pinterest pics - esp the one with the chambray shirt, white jeans and navy blazer. I need to recreate this!! x
ReplyDeleteI know I am going to try and re-create that at some point. xx
