FM40 STYLE | SOMERSET BY ALICE TEMPERLEY

Somerset by Alice Temperley spring/summer collection was launched last week by John Lewis. When I visit my local John Lewis it is always the collection I like to have a look at.

Alice Temperley is renowned for her feminine designs, pretty embellishments, delicate lacework and luxe fabrics in her collection and she doesn't skimp on the details on her Somerset range she exclusively designs for John Lewis. The SS16 Somerset Collection showcases summery, bohemian silhouettes infused with feminine detailing alongside lightweight tailoring and wardrobe staples, all with a playful British twist. In her own words,

“The SS16 collection is inspired by a bohemian, romantic and eclectic aesthetic....functional pieces infused with signature Temperley silhouettes and embroideries”

What are my favourite pieces, well there are some gorgeous bohemian embroidery anglaise pieces, a divine black dress, a pretty summery white embroidered skirt, which would look amazing with a simple t-shirt, sandals, straw basket on holiday. The shoes look pretty special also, remember last summer I highlighted you to a pair of tan leather strappy sandals from the Somerset SS2015 range that sold out in a heartbeat, well this year's version are amazing too (here).

Here is my edit of my favourite pieces from the collection,
