Girls day .......
My main purpose of the day was to go to Topshop to try on some denim dresses I had spotted on blogs and online but the firstly we went into Zara. Just a few things caught my attention, the shoes below being one, gorgeous, a perfect flat evening shoe, would look amazing with rolled up boyfriends and a white lace top for a casual evening out and they had some amazing necklaces.
The LK Bennett beauties that are in this months Red magazine are even more gorgeous in the flesh.
I had a bit of a shoe day didn't I??
Then finally onto Topshop and I went to try on the following two Denim dresses, what one did I go?
I will not leave you in suspense, I went for the darker one, it was thicker than I thought, I was planning on this being the perfect summer thrown on day dress but it looked more expensive than the paler one in my opinion so that sealed the deal. I think is going to be a hard worker in my wardrobe, worn in winter with tights and ankle boots and summer with my tan sandals.
On my way out I saw an outfit that in my single days I would of got for my Saturday night out this weekend - I use to love that, buying a new outfit for a night out just for the hell of it, my credit card didn't like it however!
What did I wear for shopping and lunch, here I am laughing at L because she was getting slightly noisy and impatient with Nanna's photo shoot - Nanna trying to work a I-Phone is painful!
1. Topshop Lace Flower Tee £38 / 2. Topshop Cord Lace Pencil Skirt £60 / 3. Nars Lip Crayon / 4. Whistles Medium Clutch £85 / 5.Miss K G Alma Leopard Heels £80
Jacket, Jigsaw / Dress, Mango here / Ankle Boots, R&B / Bag, Mulberry / Scarf, M&S
So what did I wear this Saturday evening - my old LBD - if in doubt this comes out! It is a old Joseph wool jersey dress with a low waist with pockets, its been worn to a winter wedding, a funeral, nights out and work! I teamed it up with a new necklace I got from Zara, yes another purchase made, totally spent up this month!!!
Dress, Joseph ( Old ) / Jacket, Monsoon / Necklace, Zara here / Shoes, Christian Louboutin / Clutch, Dior
See you next time, as ever thanks for reading.

They are gorgeous aren't they, looked far more expensive than their £35. The inner Bets in us I am sure a little bit more leopard will not harm. x
DeleteYou look so classy and elegant on your night out - love it!
ReplyDeleteThe shopping outfit is gorgeous too
Thank you, however I did feel like I was going to a business meeting when my friend turn up in sequinned leggings!!!
DeleteOoh, you look gorgeous. Very stylish. I love the low waist on your LBD xxx
ReplyDeleteyes it is a saviour that dress. x
DeleteLove your necklace! Perfect with the black dress
ReplyDeleteAbbi x
Yes it gave quite a plain dress that X-Factor, very happy with it and it goes lovely with my Whistles top.
DeleteGood choice I have the same dress! Found the sizes quite big though and went down to a size 6 which is ridiculous as I'm usually a 10. Was initially worried about the length but with thick opaques and biker boots it's such a comfy outfit. Enjoy!x
ReplyDeleteYes I sized down also, which is quite nice. It looks great with tights, Ive only tried my ankle boots but I bet with bikers it looks really cool - I think it you have some loafers as well it would work.x
Deleteloved the orange top shop lace top but couldnt think how to wear it as casual then saw this outfit on pinterest. like how its teamed with natural colours http://www.pinterest.com/pin/171488698285891245/ tempted now to go and try it on.
ReplyDeleteoh I am going to check out that pinterest image....... I love lace, so attracted by it. thanks for the link. x
DeleteI remember trying to get the leopard print sandals from New Look Laura from WIT had years ago and never could, so have always been lacking in that department, at that price the ones you feature are going on my wishlist for sure! Love your new necklace xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharron, the leopard sandals are great they come in other colourways but the leopard are the best!!
DeleteI'm so in love with those two tone LK Bennet pumps after seeing them in Red too! Just gorgeous! Ax
ReplyDeletearen't they gorgeous - great summer shoe. x
DeleteAh - another taker on the denim dress! We're all getting in there! Will love seeing your take on wearing one - it will probably be a little dressier than me methinks.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like the lunch outfit - very stylish. Makes me think I need to get the old legs out a bit more.
yes you do! I thinking of doing the dress casual its just such an easy dress to wear - the bloggers are all going to denim dress twins!!
DeleteI pondered the same denim dress. I finally ordered into my v small local topshop and should arrive soon. It'll be worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteoh I had a try on session with it today, really pleased with it, hope you like it too! x
DeleteI want to go shopping. I have been stuck at home, for a while, and what to have a look, touch and try on. I am not sure I could work the denim dress but I love your shopping outfit. I like skirts and dresses to have thick tights underneath. The idea of exposing my pasty legs sends a shudder right now. H xx
ReplyDeleteNothing is better than going into the shops and feeling the clothes, is it. oh I think you could work a denim dress.... I need to moisturize my dry legs to bare them without the thick tights....yes pasty!! x
DeleteLove your evening look and the new necklace. I have succumbed to the LKB flats and have been stroking them daily! Looking forward to being able to wear them without the fear of rain spoiling them. I will be interested to see the denim dress on and may have to add one to my spring wish list. x
ReplyDeleteoh I am jealous if you have the LKB ones they are gorgeous! denim dress is on todays post......xx
